Treasure Cay International Billfish Tournament Celebrates 20^th Anniversary, June 22-27, 2003

ABACO, BAHAMAS, 09/16/02 — Treasure Cay Hotel Resort & Marina, Abaco, Bahamas, will celebrate it’s 20^th Anniversary of the Treasure Cay International Billfish Tournament at their annual event, June 22-27, 2003. A qualifier for IGFA’s International Tournament of Champions, this modified release tournament offers four days of fishing, social parties, dinners, fun competitions, golf tournament, volleyball tournament and a Bahamian Arts & Crafts Fair on the Lay Day. Multiple awards are given for billfish. There are also awards for tuna, dolphin and wahoo.

Registration, which includes boat entry, four dinners and three cocktail parties for up to six team members, team goody bag with t-shirts & hats, room discounts and a donation to the IGFA, is $1,700 per team.

“We are pleased this tournament has become widely recognized as one of the best family-oriented events in the Bahamas,” commented Lynn June, Marketing Director. “We expect to have a phenomenal event for our 20^th Anniversary, and anticipate raising unprecedented funds for the IGFA Junior Angler program as well as for students at the Treasure Cay Primary School.”

The TCIBT is renowned for its great food and camaraderie, with social events families can enjoy. An average of 275 anglers and guests attend each tournament, from many states in the U.S. as well as from foreign countries.
